SWEMSA offers indoor soccer for girls and boys born between 1997 & 2010. It's a fast-paced one-hour game played 6 on 6 in an arena with boards - players change on the fly, there's no out of bounds or offside.  SWEMSA also offers a U5 (LITTLE KICKERS) program on Saturday for kids born in 2010.

The regular season runs from October 18 to February 1. Age levels that qualify for playoffs may play into March. 

EMSA (Edmonton Minor Soccer Association) schedules one game per week; *** SWEMSA schedules team practices at a school gym within our zone according to gym availability.  Edmonton Soccer Facilities charge an admission fee for adult spectators age 18-59.

The game schedules are posted by the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association & will be available mid-October.  The season begins October 18 & will finish February 1.  Game times vary week to week; start times can be early in the morning to later in the day/early evening.

Adults wanting to watch the game must pay an entry fee at each facility.  Check the ESA web site in the coming weeks for updated 2013/2014 indoor entrance fees & pass application.

Players require indoor soccer shoes, shin guards, black shorts and soccer socks.  Sponsoring communities provide a jersey. 
Volunteer Commitment
Each family is required to volunteer during the season. If you wish to decline, there is a $50 fee.
Facility Waivers
All players and volunteers on the bench must sign a facility waiver to participate. If you missed it during online registration, please print and sign a waiver and bring it to the in-person payment session.

Team Formation 
Teams are formed by the SWEMSA Age Level Directors.  Communities in our zone sponsor teams for the season by supplying uniforms & equipment + the Head Coach.  Players are placed on teams according to community of residence & whenever possible, by friend & Coach requests.    Due to the lower number of players playing indoor compared to outdoor, teams may be comprised of players from many different communities.  Indoor Refund Policy

Practice days/times are assigned 
in consideration of Head 
Coaches preference.  

Every effort will be made
 to provide 1 gym practice per week according to gym availability.  

There may be certain age groups that 
will be sharing a gym.  There also 
may be certain age groups where 
gyms will only be available 
every 2 weeks.

What's needed to confirm placement on a team? 

  • 2014/15 community league membership # - registration will not be considered paid without the #.
  • Proof of age - birth certificate, passport or Alberta Health Card.
  • Proof of address - Drivers License or utility bill (if address is same as on cheque no additional document needed.
  • 2 copies of registration form signed by parent!!
  • Child Facility Waiver

  • Volunteer deposit cheque

3. Complete the on-line registration form.  Read the DISCLAIMER section before you press the SUBMIT REGISTRATION button at the bottom of the page.   

4.  Once the system accepts your registration, you will receive an email from  EMSA NOTIFICATIONS with a link to print the form - 2 copies are needed.  PLEASE SIGN BOTH COPIES!

5. Pay the registration fee in person at our office, by mail or at one of our (5) payment sessions.  ALL DOCUMENTS LISTED ABOVE MUST BE RECEIVED BY  9:00 PM SEPTEMBER 10TH to be considered for placement on a team.  Anything received after that time will be considered a late registration & player will be put on a waiting list.  THIS INCLUDES YOUR 2014/15 COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP #.
