SWEMSA works with the community leagues of south west Edmonton to provide youth soccer programs.

During the outdoor season, SWEMSA provides online registration and scheduling while the Community Coordinators recruit coaches, create the teams, supply jerseys and equipment, and host payment sessions in their community. Each community has its own policies regarding uniform deposits, volunteer commitment, photos, medals, tournament subsidies, season wrap-up party, and reimbursement for Coach and Referee course costs.

During the indoor season, SWEMSA provides online registration, organizes payment sessions, arranges weekly practice times, and its Age Level Directors build the teams, while the communities sponsor teams by providing jerseys and equipment.
